Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technologist, also known as EEG Tech, to join our healthcare team in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting and analysing electroencephalogram tests that monitor and record brain activity in patients. This critical role involves collaborating closely with medical professionals to assist in diagnosing various neurological disorders—and ensuring patient comfort and safety during testing procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform EEG tests following established protocols and techniques.
  • Apply electrodes to patients' scalps and ensure proper placement.
  • Monitor patients during tests, ensuring data quality and patient safety.
  • Analyze EEG recordings to identify and mark relevant brain activity.
  • Prepare accurate reports summarising findings for medical professionals.
  • Maintain and calibrate EEG equipment, ensuring its proper functioning.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss test results and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during testing.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety and ethical guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of tests performed and patient information.

Advantageous

  • Experience with long-term EEG and video EEG monitoring: Skill in performing extended monitoring to capture complex brain activities.
  • Research experience in EEG technologies: Contribution to studies or trials in neurodiagnostics.
  • Advanced knowledge of epilepsy monitoring processes: Expertise in techniques for evaluating epilepsy through EEG.
