Job Description

As a Public Safety Telecommunicator, you'll play a vital role in responding to emergency calls, dispatching the appropriate services, and providing critical support during high-pressure situations. This position requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to work under stress, and a commitment to public safety.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming emergency calls and provide accurate information to first responders.
  • Utilise radio communication systems to coordinate emergency services.
  • Provide support to callers by guiding them through emergency situations.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal frameworks and operational procedures.
  • Conduct regular system checks on dispatch software and communication tools.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience in handling emergency situations and providing instructions over the phone is a plus.

  • Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification (preferred)
