Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Research Archaeologist to join our team in London. This position involves conducting archaeological research, analyzing artifacts, and playing a vital role in our understanding of historical societies.

Responsibilities

  • Research and evaluate archaeological sites for potential excavation.
  • Prepare and present findings at conferences and public engagements.
  • Maintain detailed records of fieldwork and laboratory analyses.
  • Utilize GIS software for spatial analysis and mapping of sites.
  • Engage in public archaeology initiatives to foster community interest.
  • Work with external stakeholders to promote archaeological research.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of interns and new hires.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies regarding site preservation.
  • Implement innovative technologies to enhance research capabilities.
  • Prepare grant proposals to secure funding for future projects.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in Archaeology or related field
