Job Description

As an Environmental Compliance Inspector, you will play a vital role in enforcing environmental regulations. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, investigating violations, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental laws.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities and operations for adherence to environmental regulations.
• Document violations and assist in enforcement actions when necessary.
• Promote understanding of environmental laws through education and outreach.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop compliance improvement plans.
• Report findings and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Participate in training programs for staff on environmental compliance.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or a related field
• Master's in a relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in environmental regulation or enforcement

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with compliance auditing
• Project management

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Negotiation skills

Certifications

• Certification in Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001)
• Professional Environmental Engineer (PE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with environmental audits: Prior experience conducting audits to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
