Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Scrap Carrier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely collecting and transporting scrap materials to designated locations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect and transport scrap materials to designated recycling sites.
• Inspect scrap materials for quality and report any issues.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of transport documentation.
• Assist in sorting and categorizing collected scrap.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the transport vehicle and equipment.
• Exercise good time management to meet schedules.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required

Experience

• Prior experience as a Scrap Carrier or in a similar role is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Valid UK driving license (Category B)
• Excellent driving skills

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Physical fitness

Advantageous

• Experience in waste management or recycling industry: Familiarity with industry practices and protocols.
• Ability to operate forklifts or cranes: Handling specialized equipment for effective scrap handling.
