Costume Attendant

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Costume Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing costumes for our various productions, ensuring that every piece aligns perfectly with the artistic vision of the director. Your attention to detail and craftsmanship will play a pivotal role in the success of our performances.

Responsibilities

• Design and create intricate costume pieces based on designer sketches.
• Manage costume inventory and maintain records of alterations and repairs.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to brainstorm costume concepts.
• Monitor costume wear and conduct repairs on-site when required.
• Help in managing costume changes during live performances.
• Capitalize on new technologies and techniques in the costume-making process.
• Participate in pre-production meetings to discuss costume needs.
• Assist in sourcing materials and keeping suppliers updated.
• Educate the cast on costume care and maintenance.
• Provide support in costume storage and organization post-production.

Requirements

Education

• Degree/Diploma in Fashion or Costume Design

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in a similar role within the creative industry.

Technical Skills

• Sewing and Stitching

Languages

• English: Fluent
