Job Description

As an Electric Meter Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric meters in both residential and commercial buildings. Your expertise will ensure accurate meter readings and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Install, replace, and maintain electric meters.
  • Perform routine testing and adhere to industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations during meter operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service requests and completed jobs.
  • Assist in customer training regarding meter usage and performance.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions for metering technology.
  • Manage inventory of required tools and parts for installations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance satisfaction.
  • Assist with the integration of smart metering systems as required.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant technical qualifications
  • Further training in energy metering systems is advantageous
Experience
  • Proven experience in the utilities or energy field.
