Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Agricultural Manager to oversee our animal husbandry operations. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team to ensure the health and welfare of our livestock while implementing effective management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead animal welfare initiatives and ensure all animals are treated humanely.
• Oversee the implementation of breeding programmes and coordinate reproduction activities.
• Manage budgets for animal care and ensure effective resource allocation.
• Assess animal behaviour and implement enrichment strategies for improved welfare.
• Collaborate with local agricultural bodies and researchers for continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports for management and provide insights on livestock health and productivity.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators for animal husbandry operations.
• Enhance operational efficiency by evaluating and improving husbandry practices.
• Act as a representative of the company in liaising with external agencies and stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and guidance to volunteers and interns involved in day-to-day animal care.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or Agricultural Management
• Master's degree in Veterinary Science is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience managing a livestock facility
