Job Description

The Fiberglass Boat Assembly Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the assembly of fiberglass boats. You will manage a team of assemblers and ensure that production processes adhere to quality standards and safety regulations. You must possess robust leadership skills and a keen eye for detail to optimise our assembly line.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assembly operations to ensure timely completion of production targets.
  • Ensure safety standards are met by conducting regular audits.
  • Manage a diverse team and foster a positive work environment.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time.
  • Assist in establishing production schedules and monitor their progress.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the assembly process.
  • Review and analyse production metrics to optimise performance.
  • Serve as a point of contact for quality audits and inspections.
  • Support the development and implementation of lean manufacturing practices.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or related field preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in boat assembly or manufacturing.
