Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Site Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will ensure the availability and performance of our systems while implementing best practices in continuous integration and deployment. With a focus on reliability and scalability, you will work hand-in-hand with development teams to identify and resolve production issues proactively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incident response and escalation processes.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical services.
  • Analyze system metrics and performance data for trends and anomalies.
  • Develop and run capacity planning initiatives.
  • Enhance security practices through vigilant monitoring.
  • Document infrastructure and operational procedures for knowledge sharing.
  • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions to promote best practices within the engineering team.
  • Support continuous learning and improvement within the engineering teams.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
