Water Superintendent

Job Description

We are looking for a Water Superintendent who will be responsible for managing water operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience in the water sector and excellent leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee water quality management and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily operations of water treatment plants.
• Engage in community outreach to enhance customer satisfaction and address concerns.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimise system performance.
• Manage emergency response activities during water-related incidents or crises.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on projects to enhance water infrastructure.
• Mentor junior staff and facilitate training programmes to enhance team skills.
• Draft and present operational reports to management and stakeholders.
• Direct the use of water management software for operational efficiency.
• Act as a primary point of contact for government and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in water management

Languages

Advantageous

• Experience with SCADA Systems: Hands-on experience with supervision control and data acquisition systems in water management.
