Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our dedicated team in Southampton. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to individuals experiencing mental health issues, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and document patients' mental health status upon admission and throughout treatment.
  • Collaborate in the development and adjustment of care plans based on patient needs.
  • Engage with patients through counselling and support sessions.
  • Deliver medication as per prescribed dosages and monitor for side effects.
  • Facilitate patient engagement in therapy sessions and overall treatment activities.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of patient progress with team members.

Requirements

Education
  • HNC/HND in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
  • Additional certifications in therapy methods are beneficial
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a mental health setting
