Job Description

As an Internal Auditor in Manchester, you will be responsible for conducting audits and assessments of financial operations to ensure compliance with company regulations and legislation. You will play a crucial role in identifying risks and areas of improvement, ultimately helping to safeguard the integrity of our financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits on financial and operational activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Document findings and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support the preparation of annual audit schedules and risk assessments.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather audit evidence and insights.
• Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and recommend enhancements.
• Report audit findings to senior management and assist in follow-up actions.
• Participate in special projects as required to improve processes.
• Aid in the design and implementation of new audit processes.
• Conduct follow-up audits to ensure management actions have been taken.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes relevant to the firm.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Certification such as ACA, ACCA, or similar is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in internal auditing or financial analysis
