Chartered Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Chartered Civil Engineer to join our team in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in design and project management. You will be responsible for managing diverse engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering design and analysis for infrastructure projects.
• Interface with clients to gather project requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and specifications.
• Test and assess materials and structures.
• Facilitate project meetings with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support and solutions to project challenges.
• Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices.
• Ensure environmental considerations are integrated into projects.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in civil engineering focused on infrastructure development

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Site Management

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• NEBOSH or IOSH certification is advantageous

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of flood risk management: Expertise in managing infrastructure to mitigate flood risks.
• Experience in contract management: Ability to manage contracts and relationships with suppliers.
