Job Description

As a License Specialist, you will provide expert oversight in the management of software licenses and contracts. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, negotiating contracts, and effectively managing license inventories.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain software licensing agreements to safeguard compliance.
• Engage in negotiation for new software licenses and amendments.
• Manage and accurately track license inventories.
• Conduct audits and assessments for license compliance.
• Foster relationships with software vendors and suppliers.
• Provide support and guidance on licensing practices.
• Implement strategies for effective software asset management.
• Update and maintain licensing documentation.
• Stay updated on industry changes regarding software licensing.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Industry certifications in software licensing (e.g., Certified Software Asset Manager) are advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in software licensing management
