Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist Consultant to join our team. As an Industrial Hygienist Consultant, you will be responsible for assessing and managing workplace hazards, conducting evaluations, and providing recommendations to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks.
• Engage with employees to promote a culture of health and safety within the workplace.
• Assist in the development of health and safety policies and procedures.
• Review and analyse incident reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Educate staff on the importance of workplace safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Liaise with external agencies and partners to ensure adherence to health and safety laws.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of relevant documentation to regulatory bodies.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance personal and team skills.
• Support the management team in creating a sustainable health and safety strategy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
• Additional certifications (e.g., Certified Industrial Hygienist) are advantageous.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a consultancy environment focusing on occupational health and safety.
