Job Description

As a Tank Operator, you will be pivotal in ensuring the safe and effective operation of tanks used in both industrial and agricultural settings. Your role will involve monitoring tank levels, performing inspections, and maintaining equipment to meet safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor tank levels and document data.
• Complete inspections to identify any issues with tanks promptly.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of tanks as required.
• Control the operation of valves and pumps to manage liquid transfers.
• Execute repairs on tanks and related equipment.
• Abide by safety standards and communicate any operational problems.
• Assist with tank loading and unloading tasks as required.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain operational efficiency.
• Manage and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
• Support additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Computer skills
• Hazardous materials handling

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with specific tank types: Experience with silos or specialised fuel tanks is preferred.
