Job Description

We're on the lookout for a meticulous Copy Editor to join our Glasgow team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and refining content for clarity, grammar, and consistency, ensuring all pieces meet our high standards before publication.

Responsibilities

• Refine content for clarity and coherence, ensuring it aligns with the company’s voice.
• Work with designers and marketers to ensure editorial content integrates well within various formats.
• Provide suggestions for improvements and highlight areas to enhance reader engagement.
• Mentor junior editors and interns in best practices for editing.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Ensure that all edited materials comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Prepare reports on editing progress and deliverables to the Lead Editor.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Studies, or relevant discipline
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a media or publishing firm
