Job Description

The Assembly Line Supervisor will lead and coordinate assembly line activities, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and a safe working environment. This role is critical in training and mentoring assembly line workers, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate all assembly line operations to ensure efficiencies are maximised.
  • Lead the team to achieve daily production targets while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Identify training gaps within the team and arrange for necessary training.
  • Report on production metrics and recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Engage with other departments to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Cultivate a culture of respect and trust among team members.
  • Ensure the timely completion of all assembly tasks in alignment with schedules.
  • Monitor inventory and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Assist management in the strategic development of production processes.
  • Contribute to team building and encourage a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher qualification in manufacturing or engineering advantageous.
Experience
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role within assembly line production is essential.
