Job Description

As an Accredited Farm Manager (AFM), you will oversee the management and operations of a farm. You will ensure efficient agricultural practices, applying your expertise to maintain quality standards and maximize productivity. Your role is crucial in driving the farm's profitability and sustainability efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with agricultural experts and consultants to stay updated on industry advancements and implement best practices.
  • Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures to optimise farm profitability.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess crop health, livestock conditions, and overall farm performance.
  • Review and refine cultivation and harvesting practices to enhance yield.
  • Engage with local communities to support and promote sustainable farming practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years in large-scale farming operations.
