Pet Groomer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate Pet Groomer to join our dedicated team in Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for grooming pets to ensure their comfort and appearance, providing a memorable experience for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services for dogs and cats of various breeds and sizes.
• Ensure safety and comfort for all pets during grooming sessions.
• Provide nail clipping and other pet hygiene services.
• Maintain grooming tools and equipment in top condition.
• Engage with customers to provide grooming recommendations.
• Assist in training junior groomers and support staff.
• Participate in promotional events to represent the grooming service.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• GCSEs including English and Maths
• Advanced grooming qualifications are a plus.

Experience

• Experience working in a veterinary or animal care environment is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Grooming tools proficiency
• Understanding of animal behaviour

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• CPR Certification for Pets
• Advanced Grooming Techniques Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a pet retail environment: Experience in customer service and sales related to pet care.
• Willingness to attend ongoing training and workshops: A commitment to continuous learning in the grooming field.
