Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a skilled Hydroelectric Component Machinist to join a dedicated team focused on producing high-quality components for the hydroelectric industry. In this role, you will apply your expertise to ensure precision and quality in component manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to fabricate components accurately.
  • Set up and operate various machining tools and equipment.
  • Ensure component quality through rigorous inspection and testing.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate production targets.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and contribute ideas.
  • Document all machining activities and maintain proper records.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in training new team members on equipment and processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous
Experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a machining capacity, ideally in renewable energy sectors.
