Textile Designer

Job Description

As a Textile Designer, you will play a key role in the development of new textile collections. You will collaborate with our design and production teams to create fabrics that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and sustainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and creation of unique textiles that reflect current trends.
• Work closely with marketing to align designs with market demands.
• Evaluate textiles for usability and production feasibility.
• Engage in sustainability efforts by selecting eco-friendly materials.
• Attend trade shows and events to promote new collections and gather insights.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to ensure designs are accurately translated into production.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies in textile design.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion or Textile Design
• Postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a design role within the textile industry

Languages

• English: Fluent
