Building Surveyor

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Building Surveyor to join our Sheffield team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of building regulations, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Undertake survey work, including measured surveys, dilapidation surveys, and condition assessments.
• Prepare and review specifications and tender documentation.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and compliance.
• Utilise technology and software for surveying and analysis.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical advice.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Building Surveying is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in building or quantity surveying

Technical Skills

• Surveying Software Proficiency
• Cost Estimation

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• CSCS Card Holder
• RICS Accredited Surveyor

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in Building Energy Efficiency Analysis: Experience in conducting energy assessments and audits.
• Skills in Risk Management: Experience in risk assessment and management in construction projects.
