Rig Builder Helper

Job Description

As a Rig Builder Helper, you will assist in the construction and repair of drilling rigs, providing essential support to the Rig Builders throughout the build process. This physically demanding role requires familiarity with technical drawings and measurement systems, ensuring accuracy in all tasks performed. You will work closely with an experienced team, gaining valuable skills and knowledge within the construction sector.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the assembly of drilling rigs by following blueprints
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure functionality
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment on location
• Ensure all tools are in good condition and stored correctly
• Keep the site clean and free of hazards
• Report any incidents or near misses immediately
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow procedures to minimise downtime during build
• Maintain accurate logs of tasks completed
• Actively engage in team-building activities on site

Advantageous

• Experience working with measurement systems: Familiarity with measurement systems and tools used in construction.
• Health and safety certification: Certification in health and safety practices is a plus.
