Job Description

As a Dramatic Director, you will oversee the creative and artistic aspects of our theatrical productions. You will collaborate closely with the production team to ensure that each performance captures the essence of the play, providing guidance to actors and other key players throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creative direction of theatrical productions from concept to execution.
  • Lead casting processes, selecting actors who align with the production's vision.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions to refine production design and execution.
  • Facilitate comprehensive rehearsals, providing direction to support actor development.
  • Manage budgets while liaising with the production team to maintain financial integrity.
  • Attend all key production moments, including rehearsals and preview performances.
  • Mentor emerging talents within the cast and crew.
  • Implement creative solutions to any arising challenges during the production process.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all production activities.
  • Cultivate an inclusive environment that welcomes diverse artistic expression.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or related disciplines
Experience
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in theatre directing
