Job Description

The Coal Loader will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting coal to designated areas within the mine. You will operate heavy machinery to facilitate efficient coal flow and maintain safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Load coal into transport vehicles using heavy machinery.
• Unloading coal from trucks and trains efficiently.
• Monitoring equipment performance to prevent breakdowns.
• Work closely with teams to enhance safety procedures.
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Conduct regular inspections on machinery.
• Keep detailed records of coal production metrics.
• Engage in safety drills and training sessions.
• Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a coal handling or mining role.

Technical Skills

• Specialised coal loading equipment
• Conveyor systems operation

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Advanced Heavy Machinery Certification
• Safety Training Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Advanced equipment operation training: Training in operating state-of-the-art coal loading machinery.
• Prior experience in a mining environment: Experience working in a similar coal handling or extraction role is preferred.
