Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Art Collection Curator to oversee our diverse art collection. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of art history and proven experience in curation, along with a strong ability to engage with the community and promote our exhibitions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision for the collection's growth and public engagement.
• Conduct regular assessments of the collection for condition and relevance.
• Design and implement innovative exhibition layouts that enhance visitor experience.
• Collaborate with educational institutions for outreach programs using the art collection.
• Advise on collection policies and best practices for acquisition and deaccessioning.
• Present at conferences and workshops to share insights and best practices in curation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or related discipline
• Master's degree in Gallery Management or Art Curation is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years working in a museum or gallery environment
