Interior Design Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Interior Design Consultant to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial interior design, with an eye for creating functional and beautiful spaces. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop design concepts, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from initial consultation to final installation.
• Prepare presentations and engage clients in the design journey.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and safety standards.
• Utilize modelling software to create visualizations of designs.
• Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of materials and furnishings.
• Assess and mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend industry events to foster connections and gather inspiration.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Interior Design or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in high-end residential or commercial design

Technical Skills

• 3D Rendering
• Lighting Design

Soft Skills

• Client Relationship Management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• NCIDQ Certification
• Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in commercial space design: Background in creating designs for office environments and retail spaces.
• Understanding of building regulations and codes: Ability to navigate compliance issues pertinent to design projects.
