Job Description

As a Woodworking Machine Setter in our factory, you will be crucial in the production of high-quality wooden products. Your role will involve setting up machines, selecting materials, and ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Monitor production throughout the day to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Document production activities and report issues to supervisors.
  • Train new staff on machine operation and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the design team to implement new basket designs and prototypes.
  • Help resolve production issues quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Measure and cut wood accurately to meet design specifications.

Requirements

Education
  • No specific qualifications required. However, a certification or training in woodworking or basket making would be advantageous.
Experience
  • Previous experience in woodworking, basket making, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
