Logging Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Logging Equipment Operator (Cutter Operator) to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in operating cutting machines and will play a crucial role in ensuring materials are cut accurately according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust cutting machines based on job specifications.
• Regularly conduct quality checks during the cutting process.
• Keep the work area tidy and free from hazards to promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met on time.
• Document all cutting activities and report any anomalies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on cutting machines to extend their life.
• Train new staff in operating procedures and safety practices.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations throughout operations.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate workflows.
• Propose improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.

Requirements

Education

• Vocational training or apprenticeship in machining or a related field is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
