Job Description

Rail Transport Solutions Ltd. is seeking a skilled Locomotive Engineer to operate and maintain our fleet of trains. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of rail systems and a passion for railway operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the safe operation of trains under varying conditions.
• Conduct pre-departure checks on locomotives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement maintenance schedules.
• Record and report mechanical issues to the technical team.
• Facilitate communications with the crew for efficient operations.
• Stay updated on rail regulations and guidelines.
• Develop strategies for improving operational efficiency.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency response training.

Requirements

Education

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Degree in Engineering or Transportation is preferable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in locomotive operation
