Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical design and a passion for engineering innovation. You will work closely with our design and manufacturing teams to develop advanced mechanical systems and solutions, ensuring high-quality standards and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of mechanical components.
• Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure integrated solutions.
• Execute testing protocols and interpret results for design improvements.
• Provide technical specifications for manufacturing and assembly.
• Stay current on industry trends to inform design practices.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Ensure safety and quality controls are in place during production.
• Assist in preparing bids and proposals for new projects.
• Identify risks in designs and propose mitigation strategies.
• Document engineering processes for future reference.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• Master's degree in engineering is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Thermodynamics

Soft Skills

• Team leadership
• Time management

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
