Tax Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to oversee and manage our tax compliance and advisory services in Plymouth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UK tax legislation and a proven track record in leading a team. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives and enhance the firm’s taxation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to enhance the firm's tax processes and compliance efforts.
• Monitor team performance and provide mentorship to team members.
• Engage with third parties for advisory projects and compliance checks.
• Prepare reports and presentations for client meetings and board discussions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated services.
• Provide input into the recruitment and training of new tax staff.
• Support clients during tax audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Develop a knowledge-sharing culture to enhance the team's capabilities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Master's degree in Taxation or related field is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a senior tax role
