Job Description

As a Public Health Officer, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring and promoting public health in Belfast. Your work will involve conducting health assessments, developing health education programs, and collaborating with community stakeholders to implement health initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a passion for improving community health.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and monitor health indicators within the community.
  • Lead community health initiatives and educational workshops.
  • Analyse data to inform public health strategies.
  • Work closely with government and non-governmental organizations.
  • Facilitate focus groups and community discussions on health topics.
  • Assist in grant proposals to secure funding for health programs.
  • Develop promotional materials to communicate health information.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, or a related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health preferred

  • 3+ years in public health policy or community health initiatives
