The Splicer Helper will assist in the maintenance and repair of fiber optic cables. The successful candidate will work closely with the Splicer to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
Responsibilities
Aid in the installation and maintenance of fiber optic cables and related equipment.
Perform cable pulling, routing, and termination tasks.
Keep detailed records of materials used and work performed.
Follow safety guidelines and procedures diligently.
Assist in ensuring quality standards are met for all installations.
Requirements
Education
Valid driver's licence
Experience
Experience working in telecommunications or construction industry is a plus.
Technical Skills
Ability to use basic hand tools
Understanding of health and safety procedures
Soft Skills
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to work at height
Languages
English: Fluent
Advantageous
Ability to operate splicing equipment: Experience with tools like fusion splicers or OTDR.
