Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Sunderland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for a diverse client base. You'll be working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery, focusing on mental wellness and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive psychological assessments to inform treatment.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions focused on client empowerment and recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies and community resources.
  • Document treatment interventions and client outcomes meticulously.
  • Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system.
  • Engage in research initiatives to improve service delivery and outcomes.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to foster understanding and support.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in Psychology or related field
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Experience
  • 4+ years in a mental health setting
Technical Skills
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Soft Skills
  • Team Collaboration
  • Crisis Intervention
Certifications
  • Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)
  • Mental Health First Aid Certification
Languages
