We are in search of a talented Spindle Carver to join our dedicated team. This role involves the meticulous carving and shaping of wooden spindles, using both traditional hand tools and modern machinery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship and a passion for woodworking.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise and artistic carvings on wood spindles, following set designs.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and production schedules.
• Collaborate closely with designers and other artisans to achieve cohesive designs.
• Utilize various woodworking machinery and tools effectively.
• Keep a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Provide input on material selection that contributes to the artistic quality.
• Document and communicate progress on projects with the production team.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance carving processes.
• Evaluate and resolve any issues that arise during the carving process.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and teamwork.

Requirements

Education

• Previous experience in a similar woodworking role
• A qualification in woodworking or crafting is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
