Crane Chaser

Job Description

As a Crane Chaser, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of cranes on construction sites. Working closely with crane operators, you’ll coordinate crane movements, assist in rigging, and ensure site safety protocols are diligently followed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with crane operators to ensure safe crane operation.
• Assist in preparing cranes for lifting operations and ensure they are compliant with regulations.
• Facilitate clear communication between team members to minimize risks.
• Conduct pre-operational checks to identify any mechanical issues.
• Report and address any health and safety breaches immediately.
• Help with the rigging process and safely disassemble cranes after use.
• Document and report on crane usage and safety inspections.
• Provide support during material handling and lifting operations.
• Stay updated on best practices for crane safety and operation.
• Assist team members with tasks as required to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements

Education

• Certifications in crane operations or relevant safety training are preferred.

Experience

• Experience in a construction environment and familiarity with crane equipment is advantageous.
