Job Description

As a Medical Physicist, you will apply principles of physics in a clinical environment, ensuring the safe use of radiation in diagnosis and treatment. The role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals and contributing to patient care through advanced imaging techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting quality assurance tests on radiation therapy equipment.
  • Developing patient-specific treatment plans for radiation therapy.
  • Monitoring and optimizing imaging procedures to enhance patient safety and comfort.
  • Actively participating in the selection and implementation of new medical technologies.
  • Providing specialist support to the clinical team on patient-specific queries.
  • Participating in audit and research activities to improve clinical practices within the department.
  • Maintaining knowledge of current trends and advancements in medical physics.
  • Ensuring all practices adhere to ethical and professional standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related discipline
  • Master's or PhD level qualification in Medical Physics is preferred
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a medical physics capacity.
