We are looking for a Recycling Coordinator to efficiently oversee recycling operations and ensure proper sorting and processing of materials. This role involves working closely with machinery, staff, and various departments to promote waste reduction and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise recycling operations and manage workflow.
  • Evaluate recycling methods and implement best practices.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet sustainability targets.
  • Oversee the maintenance of recycling equipment and arrange repairs.
  • Collect and analyse data to assess recycling effectiveness.
  • Implement training programs for staff on safety and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute community outreach programs focused on recycling.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all team members uphold safety standards and protocols.
  • Prepare budget proposals and resource allocation plans for recycling projects.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in environmental science or waste management (desirable)
  • Machinery Operation Proficient in using and maintaining recycling machinery.
  • Data Management Basic competency in data entry and reporting tools.
  • Attention to Detail Exceptional attention to detail in sorting and processing.
  • Team Player Skilled in collaborating effectively within teams.
  • Problem-solving Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  • Certification in Waste Management
  • First Aid Certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience in community outreach for recycling programs: Ability to engage and inform local communities about recycling initiatives.
  • Trained in operational efficiency methods: Knowledge of lean methodologies to enhance workflow in recycling processes.
