Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Auto Wrecker to join our team in Birmingham. As an Auto Wrecker, you will be responsible for the safe dismantling of end-of-life vehicles, salvaging reusable parts while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
Safely dismantle vehicles, extracting valuable components for reuse.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free environment.
Collaborate with team members to optimise dismantling processes.
Assist in training new employees on vehicle dismantling techniques.
Monitor inventory levels of salvaged parts and replenish as needed.
Identify potential recycling opportunities to improve sustainability efforts.
Support in the management of waste disposal contracts.
Conduct regular inspections of tools and equipment to maintain safety standards.
Requirements
Education
Relevant certifications in automotive mechanics or salvage operations would be advantageous
Experience
3+ years of experience in a similar role preferred.
