Job Description

As a Film Critic, you will be tasked with watching, analyzing, and reviewing films from various genres. A deep passion for cinema, strong analytical skills, and the ability to articulate your thoughts are key to excelling in this role. You will engage with filmmakers, attend screenings, and contribute to our platform's content.

Responsibilities

  • Write well-structured and insightful film reviews.
  • Conduct in-depth research on films, filmmakers, and industry developments.
  • Analyse and critique various film genres including mainstream and independent cinema.
  • Develop engaging content that resonates with film enthusiasts.
  • Attend film openings and festivals for networking and exposure.
  • Collaborate closely with editors, producers, and other team members.
  • Share insights on social media to engage with the audience.
  • Evaluate feedback and improve the quality of reviews.
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions for new content.
  • Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of reviews and critiques.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Film Studies, Journalism, Media, or related field
  • Multiple reviews or a strong portfolio
Experience
  • Prior experience in film criticism, writing, or journalism highly desirable.
