Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Consultant to join our team in Oxford. In this role, you will provide expert tax advice, assist clients in tax planning, and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of current tax legislation.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on the tax impact of various financial transactions.
• Assist in the resolution of tax disputes and appeals.
• Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions and services.
• Build strong relationships with clients to enhance loyalty and retention.
• Provide training to junior team members on tax matters.
• Engage in business development activities to grow the client base.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax consulting

Certifications

• Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in VAT consultancy: Specific experience in value-added tax aspects.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial modelling: Highly skilled in Excel for preparing and analysing tax data.
