Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Whip Sawyer to join our woodworking team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wood cutting techniques, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and be able to efficiently meet project deadlines. This role is essential in our timber operations, ensuring quality and precision in every cut.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular checks on saw blades for sharpness and functionality.
  • Implement best practices for wood cutting techniques to maximize yield.
  • Assist in training junior staff on machinery operation and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logs of operational performance and output.
  • Support the quality control process by inspecting finished products.
  • Engage with the logistics team to ensure timely supply of raw materials.
  • Implement sustainable practices in daily operations to minimize waste.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification in Health and Safety (desirable)
Experience
  • Proven experience in woodworking or timber processing roles.
