Job Description
We are seeking a Geographic Information System Surveyor (GIS Surveyor) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in surveying, mapping and data collection using GIS software.
Responsibilities
Design and implement geospatial projects from initiation to completion.
Utilise technology including LiDAR and photogrammetry for data collection.
Ensure compliance with surveying standards and regulations.
Collaborate with engineers and planners to integrate GIS into projects.
Assist in project budgeting and resource planning related to GIS activities.
Requirements
Education
Relevant degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
Experience
3+ years in GIS-related roles including data analysis
Technical Skills
Database Management
Programming (Python, SQL)
Soft Skills
Problem-solving
Project Management
Certifications
Membership in a professional organisation (e.g., RICS or CICES)
Languages
English: Fluent
Advantageous
Knowledge in environmental regulations: Understanding of relevant laws and standards impacting geospatial work.
Proficiency in additional GIS software: Knowledge of other GIS platforms such as MapInfo or GeoServer.
