Job Description

As a Sociology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality educational programmes, conducting impactful research, and mentoring students. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of sociologists.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate fruitful learning experiences through lectures, discussions, and workshops.
  • Research emerging trends and topics in sociology to keep course content relevant.
  • Mentor students through their academic journey, assisting them in navigating university life.
  • Take part in faculty committees aimed at improving teaching and research practices.
  • Encourage student engagement through innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
  • Assist in developing new programmes that align with current sociological research and discussions.
  • Foster a supportive environment that promotes diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
  • Actively engage in community outreach to enhance the relationship between the institution and the public.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Sociology or a closely related discipline
  • Ph.D. preferred but not essential
Experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant teaching or research experience.
