Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Elementary School Counselor to join our supportive team. In this role, you will provide guidance and counselling to students in a collaborative environment, addressing personal, social, and academic challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular counselling sessions for students experiencing emotional or social difficulties.
  • Develop and implement programmes that promote emotional resilience in students.
  • Work closely with special education staff to support students with additional needs.
  • Promote mental health awareness through school events and initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling interventions and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and needs.
  • Advocate for student needs within the school community.
  • Encourage a supportive school environment through community-building activities.
  • Participate in student mentorship programmes.
  • Document and report on student engagement and programme outcomes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in School Counseling or related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a School Counselor or similar role
