Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Alligator Trapper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely capturing and relocating alligators from urban and suburban areas, working closely with local authorities to ensure public safety.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and relocate alligators in urban settings ensuring public safety.
  • Assess and record alligator behaviour to determine suitable trapping methods.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal wildlife regulations.
  • Conduct educational outreach to inform residents about safe interactions with wildlife.
  • Keep detailed records of all trapping activities and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with emergency services when required.
  • Participate in community awareness programs regarding alligator safety.
  • Ensure all trapping equipment is properly maintained and effective.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety protocols during operations.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports following each operation.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications in wildlife management or animal handling is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a wildlife management role.
