Job Description

As a Woodwork Salvage Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating salvaged wood products to ensure their quality for reuse or resale. You will inspect various wooden items including furniture and flooring, assessing their condition and value.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of wood materials, identifying quality issues.
• Document findings accurately, utilizing photographic evidence.
• Communicate findings to team members and assist in inventory management.
• Offer expertise in salvaged wood valuation to enhance sales opportunities.
• Assist in the transportation and safe storage of salvaged wood.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during salvage operations.
• Engage in continuous learning about wood types and salvage techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Forestry or Environmental Science is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in wood salvage or restoration work.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in woodworking tools
• Knowledge of sustainable wood practices

Languages
